Step 1: You must RSVP for the walk weekend by entering a 1 in the box adjacent to the RSVP for Weekend option and then click on register in order to proceed with the registration process.

Please also indicate choices for the other options offered by entering a numeric value.

Hotel reservations

All walkers and crew are responsible for booking their own hotel reservations at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis via the link listed below.   

As part of your registration fee, your room (shared with a roommate) at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis will be billed directly to the Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer Master Account for Saturday Evening only. If you would like to stay on Friday or Sunday night, reservations can be made on the web-site at the group rate ($113.00 plus tax). ONLY the charges for additional nights will be billed to your credit card when you check out.   

A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation.  Your credit card will ONLY BE CHARGED if you fail to show up or fail to cancel your reservations prior to 6pm on the expected day of arrival.  You will also need to present a credit card in order to check in to the hotel. AGAIN, your credit card will only be charged for incidental charges made to your room during your stay and for Friday and/or Sunday night (if applicable.)

Roommates / Single Rooms

Once you have chosen your roommate, please log on to make your reservation.  Only one person in your room needs to make a reservation. Select the appropriate number of guests from the Marriott page after you select the dates for your stay.  You will note your roommate choice where indicated on the online form.

If you prefer to have your own room, please make your reservations below using the following link, as well as ‘purchase’ a single room above.  There is an additional $75.00 charge for a single room. 

If you do not choose a roommate or purchase the single room through this site, a roommate will be randomly assigned to you by the Atlanta 2-Day Walk Event Staff.

Event Check-In / Opening Ceremonies

Event check-in begins Friday, October 1st from 6:30-9pm and is also open on Saturday, October 2nd from 6 – 7:30am at the Marriott Marquis.

Opening Ceremonies begin at 7:00am on Saturday, October 2nd at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.

Saturday Night Dinner

We invite all 2-Day walkers and crew to join us for dinner on Saturday night at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in the Marquis Ballroom for a complimentary dinner.  This is a wonderful opportunity to sit, relax and visit with your fellow walkers and hard-working crew while enjoying a scrumptious plated dinner and cash bar.

For those teams who want to continue their team bonding, tables of 10 can be purchased for $100. If you would like your table decorated with your own unique theme, bring your decorations to ‘Check-in’ either Friday night or Saturday morning, and our crew will take care of the rest.  What a great way to honor and celebrate your accomplishments as a team!!

Saturday night will also feature some of our favorite vendors and sponsors selling unique gifts and souvenirs.

Closing Ceremonies

The 2010 Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer will conclude with closing ceremonies on Sunday, October 3rd at Pemberton Place at the spectacular new World of Coca-Cola. Closing ceremonies will begin @ 1:00pm.  We ask that families arrive by noon to enjoy this free event. If families would like to tour The World of Coca-Cola before closing ceremonies, they should plan to arrive at 10am to allow them plenty of time to enjoy the attraction.  A link for discount tickets will be available soon on our web-site. 

Invite your family and friends to greet you at the end of your journey and join in the fun of cheering you on at the finish line. Bring a picnic lunch or purchase food from The Pemberton Cafe and enjoy the beauty of the downtown skyline from Pemberton Place at the World of Coca-Cola. 

 All day parking is available at the World of Coca-Cola parking garage for $10.  For those wishing to utilize public transportation, please exit at one of the following MARTA stops:  (approximately 10 minute walk from either station)

  • MARTA stop W1: Dome/GWCC/Philips Arena/CNN Center  
  •  MARTA stop N1: Peachtree Center

Luggage

All luggage can be picked up from the International Ballroom at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis following closing ceremonies.  The International Ballroom is easily accessible via Cortland Street and live parking is available while you retrieve your luggage.  

 Transportation

If you need transportation back to the hotel after closing ceremonies, please purchase your ticket via the link above for $5.  ****Reservations for transportation to the hotel AFTER closing ceremonies MUST be made in advance****

 

“I’m Walking For…..” T-Shirt Bibs  (NEW FOR 2010) 

Acknowledge your friends and family members buy wearing a “I’m Walking For….” T-shirt bib on the back of your T-Shirt throughout the weekend. The bibs will be sold for $10 in advance (via the link above) and $15 walk weekend.  These bibs will make a wonderful keepsake of your weekend journey and provide for memorable photo opportunities. The bibs can be picked up at Walker Check-in Friday night or Saturday Morning.
